The Aesthetics of the abstract and the tangibility of the material is a consistent characteristic throughout this season’s last exhibition at Charlotte Fogh Gallery. “Hello Abstraction” portrays eight artists who are all working with different, conceptual aspects of the abstract work of art. New and established artists form the backbone of an exhibition, where the main focus is on the tactile qualities of texture, and the immanent aesthetics of the process and the material. A linkage of random, unaesthetic objects addressing the aesthetics of modernism, create a surprising and dynamic tension which is conveyed in painting, sculpture and installation. The exhibition “Hello Abstraction” has a humorous and critical twist, which reevaluates the concept of the abstract, and demonstrating the attributes of the abstract in a modern day perspective.
