“fold buk rul tryk” (fold, bow, roll, print) is the title and theme of Else Ploug Isaksens and Iben West’s solo exhibition at Charlotte Fogh Gallery. The exhibition is based on a common idea, a common basic material, but on individual works, which in the exhibition are assembled into an installation.
Earlier this year, the artists produced their works for the exhibition durring a work grant at the State Workshops for Art, and the materials, the craftmanship and repetitive work processes at the graphic workshop with printing machines, rollers, inks and printing plates are essential to the exhibition.
Iben West and Else Ploug Isaksen are locally based and have previously collaborated and exhibited together in an international context with joint solo exhibitions at the National Museum of Iceland, Picioni’s Pavilion, Athens in Greece and The Nordic Museum, Seattle in the USA. The exhibition “fold buk rul tryk” is the artists’ first solo exhibition at Charlotte Fogh Gallery.
